Ledger Link is built on the shoulders of the open-source community. This page credits the open-source software and openly-licensed data we use, in accordance with their licenses.

Translation & Language Data

Our multilingual communications features are powered entirely by open-source, self-hosted technology — no third-party AI translation service receives your data.

Tatoeba

Common-phrase translations in our system include data from the Tatoeba Project, a large collection of human-contributed example sentences and their translations. This data is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 France (CC-BY 2.0 FR) license. Sentences are © their individual Tatoeba contributors.

LibreTranslate & Argos Translate

Machine translation is provided by LibreTranslate (AGPL-3.0) and Argos Translate (MIT), which are self-hosted on our own infrastructure. Underlying translation models are built on OpenNMT and served via CTranslate2 (MIT).

On-device translation

Where supported, translations are performed locally in your browser using its built-in translation capabilities, so the text never leaves your device.
